Thugs of Ghaziabad
Thugs of Ghaziabad
The series opens with the powerful patriarch Jayaram Singh orchestrating an arranged marriage for his rebellious son, Shekhar, to Ridika, driven by political ambition and a desire for an heir. Ridika is blackmailed into the union to save her ailing mother, immediately trapping her in a transactional relationship. Shekhar, however, defies his father, engaging in clandestine operations and pursuing a forbidden affair with Mithali, while simultaneously becoming the target of assassination plots orchestrated by figures like Madhurani. As Ridika navigates her forced marriage, she discovers she is pregnant with Shekhar's child amidst relentless abuse, accusations of infidelity, and a paternity dispute, all while secretly striving to reclaim her kidnapped mother. The narrative quickly escalates into a ruthless world of political intrigue, gang wars, and cycles of brutal revenge, with Shekhar himself being poisoned and Mithali exacting a horrifying acid attack on him for her father's murder. Vedanth, initially Ridika's true love, is revealed to have a mysterious past connection to her and later becomes an antagonist, tormenting captives and plotting against Jayaram's family. He tragically kills his pregnant lover (a different Hrithika) and uncovers his own complex parentage, leading to violent confrontations. Political corruption is rampant, with Chief Minister Kishan Yadav involved in murders and scandals, while Jayaram Singh ruthlessly consolidates his criminal empire, strategically grooming Ritika for a Parliament seat. The show culminates in a brutal quest for retribution, with Vijay, believed dead, dramatically returning to expose his faked demise and seek revenge after a crucial family member is kidnapped. Characters are constantly entangled in a web of power struggles and personal vendettas, fighting for dominance and survival in a corrupt and violent world where a patriarch is killed, leaving his children to grapple with a dangerous legacy.
