The story follows Mahendra and several other ordinary men who are repeatedly pushed into supernatural, domestic, and royal systems they do not fully understand. It begins with humiliation and sudden destiny, as a delivery worker finds a lamp and is told by a genie that he is meant to become a king. Across the early arc, men are forced into public rituals, marriage selections, and wartime decrees that turn romance into obligation and identity into confusion. Mahendra becomes the central figure in this shifting world, moving from bewildered participant to protector, healer, inventor, and village leader. His household is repeatedly tested by hunger, jealousy, and the arrival of rivals who demand wives, grain, or public submission. Women in the household do not remain passive; they reject humiliating demands, defend him in fights, and struggle to secure their own place in the shared domestic order. At the village level, food scarcity and drought make survival a constant concern, so Mahendra tries unusual solutions such as fish trading, potato farming, and mechanical inventions. His efforts win trust at times, but they also provoke mockery, suspicion, and accusations that he may be hiding a powerful or royal identity. Authority figures and hostile men repeatedly challenge him through arrests, punishments, theft, and public humiliation, forcing him into direct confrontation. The conflict widens from household disputes into larger battles over grain, borders, and the safety of the village. A genie continues to intervene at key moments, helping with wishes, tools, or food when human plans fail. As threats intensify, Mahendra urges the villagers to stand together rather than flee, and he begins organizing resistance instead of only reacting to danger. Hostile forces led by Ugrasen, Ukhrasen, Lakha, and allied thieves target his home, his grain, and the women under his protection. Lakha in particular becomes a recurring rival, moving from insult and theft to open betrayal and defeat. Supernatural spectacle and invention both play a role in the escalation, with dangerous devices and magical aid creating panic as well as hope. By the end of the batch, Mahendra’s struggle has expanded into mythic and royal stakes, and he is ultimately crowned king. Even after that rise, the story keeps its domestic tension alive, with three queens and unresolved rivalry still shaping the emotional center of the show.
