Damaad No. 1

The series begins with Yash's tumultuous return to his wife, Mehak, immediately facing scorn from her mother and public humiliation from rival Neil, who falsely claims to be the CEO. Their secret marriage is exposed, igniting a fierce family conflict as Mehak's mother attempts to force a divorce and an engagement to a wealthy suitor. Amidst this personal turmoil, Yash, also known as Shourya/Yashwa, shifts his focus to exposing event organizer Bobby for corporate fraud, counterfeit alcohol, and a fabricated identity, culminating in Bobby's public shaming. As Yash navigates these challenges, his true identity as the CEO of "Blackthorn" is gradually revealed, transforming personal vendettas into high-stakes corporate battles. Mehak's class-conscious family, including her brother Ishaan, relentlessly ridicules Yash, dismissing his high-value gifts as fakes or stolen goods and accusing him of identity theft. Wealthy suitor Neil persistently tries to win Mehak over with lavish presents and public shaming of Yash, but Mehak remains fiercely loyal to her husband. Yash is framed for fraud by Neel Mehra, who also pursues Mehak, leading Yash to race against time to expose the truth and prevent their impending marriage. During a crucial deal, Yash publicly exposes Neel's fraudulent activities and dramatically reveals his marriage to Mehak, uncovering a corporate conspiracy. Despite his triumph, a new antagonist, Bobby, emerges to strip Yash of his power, though the details of this power struggle remain somewhat unclear. Later, now affluent, Yash and Mehak confront her remorseful family, who previously caused their divorce and disowned Yash. Mehak, however, refuses to forgive their past disrespect and the couple chooses to depart, affirming their unbreakable bond. The family matriarch's world is shattered when her daughter, Sona, is exposed for fraudulently mortgaging their home, further highlighting the family's avarice. Mahek and Yash ultimately reject their toxic inheritance, with Yash destroying documents related to Mehak's separate property, affirming his ability to provide for her independently. Their enduring love, forged through mutual sacrifice and defiance of family opposition, solidifies their commitment to face future challenges together, free from the family's greed.
