Beghar Raja
Beghar Raja
Prince Veerendra returns victorious to Rudragadh, only to find his elder brother, King Mahendra, gravely ill and soon brutally murdered. Accused of regicide by a cunning minister, Banwarlal, Prince Veerendra mysteriously vanishes, plunging the kingdom into chaos. Army Chief Mahendra Pratap Singh reluctantly accepts temporary rule, vowing to find the true killer and clear the Crown Prince's name amidst growing public dissent. Meanwhile, Princess Devangana defies royal expectations by choosing a humble, impoverished man at her Swayamvaram, bringing immense dishonor to her family. This man is later revealed to be Veerendra, of concealed royal lineage, driven by a quest for vengeance for his brother's death. Disguised as a 'beggar prince' (Bhikari Raja), Veerendra ignites a fierce rebellion among the downtrodden against oppressive forces like Thakur Baldev, rallying villagers against cruel taxes and exploitation. A new antagonist emerges in Maharaja Mahendra, Veerendra's brother, who plots to eliminate him, orchestrates a royal coup, and initiates a deadly manhunt for the true heir. Devangana discovers her husband's true royal identity and the perilous pursuit against him, leading her to undergo a trial by fire to prove his innocence. Veerendra, now fully revealed as the rightful heir, prepares for battle, driven by a profound vow to avenge his murdered brother and father. The brutal power struggle culminates in a fierce sword duel between Veerendra (also known as Rudra) and Maharaja Mahendra. Rudra ultimately defeats Mahendra in combat, achieving his vengeance. With the antagonist vanquished, Rudra (Veerendra) and Amma Devangana are implored to accept the throne of Kalyangad, preparing to lead their realm and face a public trial for captured individuals.
