A kind delivery girl, Tara, finds her life upended when an eccentric old man, Tata, orchestrates her contract marriage to his grandson, Rohan, due to her dire financial situation. Unaware that Rohan is the powerful CEO of a major corporation (sometimes referred to as Mr. Mahesh), Tara seeks employment there, immediately facing intense professional rivalry and public humiliation from her college rival, Soundarya, and others who accuse her of plagiarism. As Tara navigates these corporate challenges, Rohan, initially reluctant about the marriage, begins to investigate the sabotage against her, slowly revealing his true identity and influence. Their relationship is further complicated by the arrival of Rohan's mother, forcing them into a charade, and Tara's own family attempting to arrange another marriage for her. The narrative deepens as Tara, a talented designer, becomes entangled in a complex web of corporate intrigue, including a scheme orchestrated by her Uncle and Rohan to expose corrupt figures. Rohan publicly asserts his corporate titan identity to protect Tara, but their union is challenged by the unexpected return of his ex-fiancée, Reema (later referred to as Sia), who accuses Tara of being a manipulative gold-digger. Rohan defies family expectations by declaring his love for Tara, rejecting Sia, who is linked to a powerful rival family. Sia retaliates by publicly announcing her engagement to Rohan amidst a corporate merger, leading to Tara being accused of fraud and subsequently kidnapped by Sia. Tara, now pregnant, strategically forces Rohan to publicly acknowledge a "business partnership" to ensure her safety. The show culminates with Sia confessing to the kidnapping, Tara being welcomed into Rohan's family, and a significant shift in their marital power dynamic as Tara transfers her substantial property to Rohan.
