Seeking a fake marriage certificate, they meet and agree to a no-strings-attached union, with Avni concealing her identity. But fate intervenes—Vikram accidentally injures Avni, who reenters his life a year later as a cleaner in his office. As Vikram’s daughter insists on meeting her “stepmother,” Avni steps in to play the part, still unaware they are legally married. Amid mistaken identities and emotional chaos, they develop genuine feelings for each other. Eventually, as they attempt to formally divorce and end the charade, they realize they had been truly married all along.
