Princess Radhika, sent back in time, strategically chooses Prince Arjun Maurya at her Swayamvar, aiming to secure the throne and exact revenge on her sister, Ananya. In stark contrast, Princess Ananya defies her family's classist views by choosing the humble beggar Prithvi, leading to her disownment and public scorn. Despite initial challenges and family humiliation, Ananya and Prithvi's bond strengthens, fueled by her belief in virtue and his mysterious, noble background, which is soon revealed to be that of a powerful king. Ananya faces relentless scorn from her family, especially Radhika and Arjun, but a royal messenger dramatically reveals Ananya's own hidden princess status, setting the stage for a profound reversal of fortunes. Amidst palace intrigue, Prithvi, secretly the Maharaj, protects Ananya from the tyrannical Maharani Nandini, who vehemently opposes their union and subjects Ananya to cruel tests, seemingly due to Ananya's true royal lineage. Ananya, possessing sacred golden bangles, becomes ensnared in Nandini's plots, facing accusations of theft and disfigurement. A power struggle emerges as Princess Supriya claims to be the Maharaj's fiancée, clashing with commoners and attempting to seize control, but is publicly rebuked by the Maharaj. Ananya is nominated to oversee the annual festival, and she uncovers a vengeful woman's plot to poison guests and frame her. During these trials, Ananya recognizes Prithvi as the supreme ruler, placing her fate in his hands. Ultimately, Emperor Prithvi reveals his concealed identity, explaining that Ananya's numerous trials were an elaborate test of character for the throne, and he dispenses justice to rivals before designating Ananya as his legitimate successor, solidifying their bond and her future as a ruler.
