Plot:
A young woman who marries a wealthy man. On their wedding day, he informs her of his intent to divorce her in three years to protect his family's reputation. She has a serious, undisclosed heart condition. For two years, he mistreats her. She becomes pregnant, but his girlfriend, aided by family members, forces her to abort the baby. A traumatized survivor, she is rescued by a childhood friend, now an influential figure, who offers support and proposes marriage.
