Nandilal, a powerful man, is afflicted by a mysterious, life-threatening "Yang poison" that demands a cure from a fated woman with a specific birthmark before the New Year. His desperate search leads him to Brinda, a capable nurse trapped in a forced marriage, who reluctantly agrees to a contract marriage with Nandilal to escape her predicament. Unbeknownst to her, Brinda possesses the unique birthmark, making her the key to his survival, but their union is complicated by a prophecy stating only one can survive. Their burgeoning connection is tested by Brinda's jealous cousin Sara and Nandilal's formidable family, led by matriarch Chitti and his childhood betrothed, Sophia, who subject Brinda to humiliation and abuse. Despite these challenges, Nandilal defies an enigmatic figure, Master, demanding a way for both him and Brinda to survive the fated union. Brinda faces an orchestrated murder attempt and a mysterious illness, leading to her apparent death, leaving Nandilal devastated and an unfulfilled prophecy of a daughter. Seven years later, Nandilal longs to reconcile with his estranged wife, now referred to as Vrindha or Amma, and their child, Ammu or Joshi, who desperately seeks her father to save her critically ill mother. During this period, Brinda is also seen with Logan, identified as Joshi's biological father and a figure from Brinda's traumatic past, who confronts the powerful Nandhilal Group. Nandilal eventually recognizes Brinda, revealing that his past actions, including a perceived betrayal, were a desperate sacrifice to save her from grave peril, sabotaged by a manipulative rival. The truth emerges that the life-saving process must be repeated, but with a tragic twist: only one of them can survive. Brinda is left to grapple with this devastating realization and an impossible choice that will determine the future of their fated love and family.
